Dividends Feb/Mar 2024

 

Several companies have managed to pay out dividends during these two months that I now cover.

ETF EU paid out 69.24 €, no taxes taken.

ETF All World paid out 33.18 €, no taxes taken.

ETF S&P500 paid out 70.11 €, no taxes taken.

McDonalds paid out 26.07 €, after 15% taxes withheld by US.

Intel paid out 37.80 €, after 15% taxes withheld by US.

BP paid out 52.98 €, no taxes taken.

IBM paid out 32.08 €, after 15% taxes withheld by US.

TJX paid out 16.53 €, after 15% taxes withheld by US.

DBAG paid out 114.12 €, after 26.4% taxes withheld by Germany.

Dividends during November/December

 

Several dividends have been paid out in the end of the year and I even managed to receive one from a company that I had sold off, namely H&M.

H&M paid out 70.69 €, of which the taxman took -21.21 €, leaving me with 49.48 € as cash.

TJX paid out 19.40 €, taxman took -2.91 € leaving 16.49 € on broker account.

Intel paid out 39.61 €, taxman got -2.31€ leaving me with 27.30 € as cash.

IBM paid out a healthy 38.35 €, taxman took -5.76 €, leaving 32.59 € in cash.

BP paid out 53.03 €.

Scottish paid out 4.98 €.

McDonalds paid out 25.63 € and I must have been lucky there with when I bought them.

HSBC paid out 64.12 €.

ETF - All World paid out 34.38 €.

ETF - EU/UK paid out 63.19 € and finally

ETF - S&P500 paid out 63.14 €.

I've also in early January received Nike 13.43 €, taxman took -2.01 € leaving 11.42 €.

The dividend page has now been updated including including the end of year tally of 5,265 € paid out in total -468 € to taxes.

Dividends in August/September 2023

 

I thought there would only be some trickles of dividends arriving during the remainder of the year but I was clearly wrong. I had some serious pay out from especially Rio Tinto which is much appreciated!

ETF All-World paid out 26.05 € as cash on my broker account

ETF S&P500 paid out 63.41 € as lovely, lovely cash.

ETF EU-UK paid out 82.53 € as cash on my broker account.

Rio Tinto paid out a total of 514.09 € as cash on my two broker accounts.

HSBC paid out 64.35 € as cash to me.

Barclay decided to pay out 59.10 € as cash on my broker account.

Lloyds were also generous and paid out 68.90 € to my broker account.

Intel has tighten the purse and only paid out 35.36 €, the taxman took 2.32 €, leaving me with 33.04 € as cash on my two broker accounts.

BP paid out 52.53 € on my broker account.

IBM paid out 38.49 €, taxman took 5.78 € leaving me with 32.71 € on my broker account and finally

TJX paid out 19.48 €, taxman took 2.92 €, leaving 16.56 € as cash on my broker account.

Dividends in May/June 2023

 

It's been a period with plenty of dividend payments which is always enjoyable especially now when I need to take out money instead of adding.

E.On paid out 204.00 € of which the German taxman kept 53.80 € and I was left with 150.20 € as cash on my broker account.

Intel paid out 44.75 €, USA tax office withheld 6.71 € and I was left with 38.04 € in cash.

TJX paid me 19.78 €, US withheld 2.96 € and I got 16.82 € on my broker account.

The next dividend payment I'm not really happy about. I wanted Luc to keep re-investing the earnings into the business or other endeavours for that matter!

Tessenderlo paid out 127.50 €, the taxman in Belgium kept 38.25 € and I got 89.25 € on my broker account.

IBM provided me with 38.34 €, tax withheld was 5.76 € and I got 32.58 € in cash.

BP paid me 49.46 € which arrived directly as cash.

Barratt paid out 59.36 € in cash.

Lloyds paid out 121.05 € in cash.

HSBC paid out 64.67 € in cash.

ETF EU paid out 301.16 € in cash

ETF S&P500 paid out 63.29 € in cash.

ETF All-World paid out 38.89 € in cash.

So a pretty good period!

Dividends in March 2023

 

All the oil companies have made massive profits lately. From this BP decided to pay out 50.31 € which I directly received as cash on my broker account.

IBM paid out 38.77 €, from this the taxman took 5.82 €, leaving me with 32.95 € as cash on my broker account.

DBAG paid out a very small dividend this year in the size of 124 €, the German tax man took 32.70 € which left me with 91.30 € in cash.

The US retail chain TJX paid out 17.68 € and from this 2.65 € was taken in taxes leaving me with 15.03 € in cash.

Intel, whose share price have tanked in the last couple of months paid out 119.59 €, and 6.89 € went to the taxman, leaving me with 112.70 € in cash. It looks strange, I know, I don't see the taxes removed in my UK broker account and I currently own intel shares on both my UK and German account.

And finally my ETF EU held in the UK paid out a dividend of 78.39 € that I get straight out as cash.

Dividends in December 2022

 

Yum brands paid out 21.56 € as cash on my broker account.

McDonalds kindly enough paid me 34.42 € to my broker account

ETF EU 600 paid me 57.46 € as cash to the broker account.

BP paid out 45.08 € in cash to me and finally

IBM paid out 38.85 € of which the taxman took 5.83 € and I was left with 33.02 € as cash on my broker account.

Dividends during Aug/Sep/Oct 2022

 

Several companies have made payments during the three last months and can be seen below.

Yum Brands paid out 22.22 €.

McDonalds paid out 32.91 €.

Rio Tinto paid out 379.00 €.

ETF EU paid out 72.71 €.

Restaurant Brands paid out 56.13 €.

Nike paid out 12.41 € of which the tax man took 1.86 € leaving 10.55 € as cash on broker account.

BP paid out 46.53 €.

IBM paid out 40.48 € of which the tax man took 6.07 € leaving 34.41 € for me.

TJX paid out 18.84 € of which the tax man took 2.82 € and leaving 16.02 € as cash for me and finally...

Intel paid out 49.18 € with tax man taking 7.38 € and leaving me with 41.80 € in cash.

Dividends during June 2022

 

Yum brands paid out 21.62 € as cash on my broker account.

McDonalds paid out 31.22 € as cash on my broker account.

ETF EU paid out the handsome sum of 326.30 € as cash on my broker account.

Nike paid out 11.67 €, however taxman withheld 1.75 € and I received 9.92 € in cash on my account.

BP paid out 40.66 € as cash on my broker account and finally

IBM paid out 38.94 € of which taxman took 5.84 € and I got 33.10 € as cash on my broker account.

Stock bought May 2022

 

After the general share price drop I decided to push some more money into my EU ETF so I bought an additional 120 parts at a total cost of 4,055.61 €. I now hold 475 parts at a total cost of 16,357 €.

It will be updated in the new summary that is coming shortly.

Stocks bought/sold during March/April 2022

 

Due to the that Shell was even considering to buy oil from Russia during the ongoing war in Ukraine I decided to directly sell them off. I will also admit that I reacted in haste but when it comes to, to me, morally wrong things then I prefer to push the sell button too early than too late. I therefore sold my 270 shares in shell for a total value of 6,210.41€. During the 16 months holding period I have received dividends in the size of 274.40€ on the investment of 3,039.41€ meaning I had a profit of 113%.

I bought an additional 190 parts in ETF EU for 6,250.72€ which is now up at a total 355 parts with 12,301€ invested.

Due to that my stock ISA had been filled I've been holding on to a larger quantity of cash that I could now in the start of the UK tax year push into the Stock ISA for this money I therefore bought:

400 more shares in EasyJet for a total cost of 2,799.39€.

25 more shares in Yum for a total of 2,876.17€.

30 shares in Netflix for a total cost of 6,131.44€

65 shares in Restaurant Brands International for a total of 3,640.19€.

All this will be updated in the new summary that is coming shortly.

Dividends during March/April 2022

 

Yum brands paid out 9.74€ as cash on my broker account.

McDonalds paid out 29.89€ on my broker account.

ETF EU paid out 45.11€ to be used as I please on my UK broker account.

Shell paid out 58.86€ on my broker account.

Rio Tinto paid out the handsome amount of 462.12€ as cash on my account.

Intel dribbled in 31.56€ in cash.

BP paid the miniscule amount of 39.85€ as cash.

Nike provided me with 9.37€ in dividends and finally...

Skanska paid out 242.94€ of which I got to keep 170.06€ paid out as cash.

Stock bought in February 2022

 

I decided to buy some more ETF EU and I therefore increased my holding with 100 parts at 37.00 € which gives me a total of 165 parts at the cost of 6,050 €

Dividends during December 2021

 

I'm a little bit late with this report so actually it also covers the dividend payments during the first week of January also but to my great pleasure several of them have paid out dividends to me so that it great!

BP - paid out 38.54€ that was received as cash on my broker account.

Nike - paid me 10.77€, the taxman took his pound of flesh (15%) and I received 9.16€ as cash on the broker account.

IBM - paid me 36.38€ and in the end it dropped in 30.92€ in cash.

TJC - paid out 14.61€ of which I received 12.42€.

Intel - paid me a nice chunk of 41.25€ of which 35.06€ stuck on my broker account.

ETF EU - directly gave me 13.52€ on my broker account.

Shell - gave me a nice payment of 58.29€ directly as cash.

McDonalds - paid out 29.40€ as cash on my broker account and finally

Yum brands - paid me the tiny sum of 8.44€ on my broker account.

Stocks bought in December 2021

 

Due to a tax return and change of tax group I was able to make a more substantial investment than usual during December. I therefore decided to buy two holdings, one old and one new one.

The first one was that I increased my holding in Rio Tinto by buying 45 more shares at a price of 55.74 € with a total cost, including stamp duty, of 2,520.49 €.

I also decided to buy more ETF and I found Vanguard FTSE Developed Europe had a reasonable yearly price tag of 0.1% fee. I therefore bought 65 parts of this ETF at a cost of 36.16 € per part with the total cost of 2,350.69 €

I made one more investment <1k € but the company is so small that I do not want to bring it up and I will not include it in any updates. The two mentioned above will however be included in the next update.

During the weekend I managed to go to Berlin for Christmas market and to see my friends there. It was really nice but life for a non vaccinated person will not be very joyful in the future. Every restaurant, stores, cinemas etc all demanded to see proof of vaccination and ID card before you are allowed to enter. So people have two options: Either I get the vaccination or my life will be very much centred around me sitting at home and never doing anything fun. Germany takes a similar approach to winter tyres. There is no law about it but if you have an accident in winter without having winter tyres on then the insurance companies are not paying out... so you are pretty much forced to use winter tyres even though there is no law about it. It's a bit passive/aggressive.

I'm currently waiting for the PCR result before I'm allowed to get back into the office again so fingers crossed it comes back negative and I can be in the office tomorrow.
