Stocks bought/sold November/December

 

Several stocks were bought and sold during this period. The trigger was that I considered the value of Netflix to be excessive and due to that I must now pay taxes in Sweden I decided to balance the gain by getting rid of some loss shares. I keep investing in my UK stock portfolio and any money in my German stock portfolio I directly take out in this case I took out >10k € from my German stock portfolio.

Sold shares

Netflix, 30 shares sold for 12,833.26 € with a gain of 6,938.77 € or 109%.

EasyJet, 947 shares sold for 4,560.53 € with a loss of -2,670.51 € or -38%.

Skanska, 250 shares sold for 3,743.12 € with a loss of -628.86 € or -14%. During the holding period an additional 717 € was paid out in dividends.

BASF, 140 shares sold for 6,073.38 € with a loss of -770.57 € or -12%. During the holding period an additional 2,716 € was paid out in dividends.

H&M, 250 shares sold for 3,856.83 € with a loss of -1,092.01 € or -22%. During the holding period an additional 1,605 € was paid out in dividends.

My current holding period of stocks is 45 months.

Bought shares

McDonalds, 20 shares bought for 5,082.50 €. I should never have sold them when I previously did. I bought them as a realty company and then in the pandemic I sold them as a fast food company. Stupid!

Berkshire, 20 more shares bought for 6,647.54 €. This means that I currently hold 45 shares for 11,399 €.

Burberry, 170 shares bought for 3,246.04 €.

ETF-All World, 35 shares bought for 3,653.23 €. This means that I currently hold 93 shares for 9,223 €.

Stocks bought/sold during March/April 2022

 

Due to the that Shell was even considering to buy oil from Russia during the ongoing war in Ukraine I decided to directly sell them off. I will also admit that I reacted in haste but when it comes to, to me, morally wrong things then I prefer to push the sell button too early than too late. I therefore sold my 270 shares in shell for a total value of 6,210.41€. During the 16 months holding period I have received dividends in the size of 274.40€ on the investment of 3,039.41€ meaning I had a profit of 113%.

I bought an additional 190 parts in ETF EU for 6,250.72€ which is now up at a total 355 parts with 12,301€ invested.

Due to that my stock ISA had been filled I've been holding on to a larger quantity of cash that I could now in the start of the UK tax year push into the Stock ISA for this money I therefore bought:

400 more shares in EasyJet for a total cost of 2,799.39€.

25 more shares in Yum for a total of 2,876.17€.

30 shares in Netflix for a total cost of 6,131.44€

65 shares in Restaurant Brands International for a total of 3,640.19€.

Stocks bought in Sep/Oct 2021

I do not yet know if it was an unfortunate situation or a great one however after I had decided to increase by holdings in Lufthansa and Easyjet in August both of them came out with new shares that they offered to the market in September. I joined in both of them which pushed up my holding to a level that I'm not so happy about but it also meant that I received more shares offered to me so as always, future will tell.

I therefore bought 217 more shares in Easyjet at a total cost of 1052.43 €. This brought my holding to 547 shares at a total cost of 4603 €.

I also ended up with 470 new shares in Lufthansa at a total cost of 1705.41 €. This brought my holding to 940 shares at a total cost of 6262 €.

These stocks will be included in the upcoming summary update.

Stocks bought in August 2021

 

During August I decided to increase in two of my holdings that I already had and those were:

Lufthansa, I bought 260 more shares for a total of 2306 € which gives me a total of 470 shares at a cost of 9.69 € per share.

I also decided to increase my holding in EasyJet and bought an additional 130 shares giving me a total of 330 shares at a cost of 10.76 € per share.

These additions will be included in the upcoming summary.

Stock bought in March 2021

 Due to that I had maxed out my stock ISA I was forced to wait until the new tax year here in the UK started before I could transfer money over to the broker account. This has now happened and the money was transferred.

In the end I decided to go for a company that I like to use very much and in an industry that have been trashed during the last year so it is truly contrarian. Ideally it should have been bought a year ago but back then I made other investments. There are old rules saying that one should never buy into the airline industry because they always need to make heavy investments to stay on top of safety and security but I do not agree with those old rules of thumb.

I therefore decided to buy 200 shares in EasyJet at a total cost of 2332.80 € or 11.664 €/share.
