IBM report Q1 2016

IBM, Q1, 2016, front page

My American turn around IBM arrived with their first quarter report for 2016. The report was seriously bad and I am pretty sure that the share price dropped significantly but I no longer remember with how much. I was very disappointed with what they showed.

Intel report Q1 2016

Intel, Q1, 2016, front page

The first quarter report from Intel was not that well accepted and the share price dropped on the day of the release. Personally I was pretty neutral to the report and if one had high expectations regarding the report and the future outlook then one did not get too excited about this report because almost every outlook was down compared to their previous forecast for the year.

Enel annual report 2015

Enel, annual, 2015, front page

Nooo! Yet another ball dropper because the annual report from Enel arrived in the end of March. The problem with Enel is that they arrive with the reports from all their daughter companies before they then at some point publish the report for the group. This seems to confuse me each time and is the reason for this ball dropper. Share price has slowly climbed up, also for Enel, since the mad-cow hysteric February drop.

Dividend from Coba: April 2016

Coba, a German bank

My first ever real dividend from Coba was paid out now in April. I have previously made a "dividend" booking on it but that was a failed sale of share rights which I neither wanted to or should have done. Coba is still not out of the woods but they themselves at least consider themselves to be so close that they even decide to pay out a dividend. Personally I think/hope that they will not be forced to take any further impairment costs due to old garbage. I am however certain that the future will bring new issues.

For my 530 shares I received a total of 106 € or 0.2 € per share. I do not have to pay any taxes on that and therefore the full 106 € are paid in as cash to my broker account. This then gives me a YoC of 1.6% which is awful but at least it is a start.

To find out more about Coba then please visit analysis of Coba 2016.

Dividend from Gerry Weber: April 2016

Gerry Weber, a German fashion retail chain

My failed German retail investment at least have the decency to pay out dividend to the shareholders and for this I am... well... I was about to write grateful or happy but neither of those words are correct so I will just leave it as empty space. The thing is that the management is not bad in allocating the money. For instance had they not bought Hallhuber when they did then things would have been an even bigger disaster today so that was obviously a very correct decision.

I have 50 shares in Gerry Weber and for each share (after almost cutting the dividend in half) I ended up getting 0.4 € which means that I got paid out 20 € as cash to my broker account and no taxes were removed. This gives me a very disappointed YoC of 1.9%.

To find out more regarding Gerry Weber then please visit analysis of Gerry Weber 2016.

Gerry Weber report Q1 2016

Gerry Weber, Q1, 2016, front page

Due to my mistake this report arrives in quick succession to the annual report and therefore the conclusion regarding the share price development has not changed. The company is not doing well and I would like to mention once again the comment my mother said last autumn (ok, it is a new season now so things can have changed) when we entered the store... "it looks as if the cloths are for old women!". My mother is 70 years old and from this I must then conclude two things. One: I really have no clue who buys cloths at Gerry Weber. Two: Retired women today considers, apparently feels and obviously acts and wears cloths that are targeted towards younger customers.

Dividend from ETF Austria: April 2016

DB, the holder of my ETF Austria

The title of this is not 100% accurate since I actually did not receive a dividend paid out as cash because this ETF fund is thesaurierend as it is so nicely called in German and it simply means that the dividends are directly reinvested back into the fund.

I have 80 shares in ETF Austria and for each share 0.61 € were reinvested giving a total of 48.94 €. This is the equivalent of 1.6% which is very bad. Very bad indeed!
