The inside activity here in German has been fairly high during May. Generally it is an interesting month with several companies paying out dividends but there is also the saying "sell in May and go away" which I know that some people follow but I was just hoping that German managers did not think that short term. So what did then happen?

Dividend from K+S: May 2014
The next company to award me became K+S and by the look of it they did not like me very much. Last year they paid out 1.4 € per share in dividend and my expectation due to the problems with potash and magnesium prices that the dividend would end up around 0.9-1.1 € per share which would then have been less than 50% of their earnings last year (EPS was 2.27 €).
Instead they decided to play it ultra safe and decided to only pay out 0.25 € per share which is only around 1% in dividend and really bad in my eyes. So for my 152 shares I only received 38 € that was added to my deposit. If you want to take a look at K+S then please see the analysis of K+S 2014.

Dividend from MüRe: May 2014
Münchener Rückversicherung paid out the dividend during the month of May 2014 and it amounted to 7.25 € per share. That was before payment, and the decreased share price that automatically follow, a 4.4% dividend payment which on its own is a very nice value but in comparison to what I once upon a time paid for MüRe I received a 6.6% dividend payment. This is really good!
In the three years that I have owned MüRe I have collected a total of 369 € in dividends and the share price has gone from 109.10 € to today 156.45 €. If you want to look closer at MüRe then please see the analysis of Münchener Rückversicherung (MüRe) 2014.
